  • Overview

    The Legal Assistant provides high-level administrative and clerical support services to the Legal Department staff, including General Counsel, Senior Counsels, and Associate Counsels.  Acts as administrative liaison with internal and external sources.  


    The position is responsible for the following tasks:


    Contract Administration

    • Obtains signatures, scans and emails copies of any client contracts, ancillary agreements, addenda, and amendments.
    • Maintains contract files for client contracts, ancillary agreements, addenda, and amendments.
    • Tracks development, review, and completion of client contracts and other documents to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Provides administrative support for contract-related communication including mail, fax, and email.
    • Prepares template agreements and amendments when requested by attorneys.
    • Coordinates completion of miscellaneous client-issued vendor registration forms required by client contracts.
    • Prepares and tracks specialist independent contractor agreements.



    • Schedules appointments, conference calls and meetings.
    • Photocopies, scans and faxes documents as requested.
    • Composes letters for attorneys and assists with various issues as requested.
    • Maintains contract files for the department.
    • Provides assistance to Select and Concentra colleagues, such as answering general questions and connecting them with the appropriate party to handle contracting and clinical issues.



    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 1-3 years of applicable experience within a legal department.
    • High Degree of Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and initiative.
    • Ability to handle information with social sensitivity and confidentiality.
