Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) is seeking a 32 hour full-time speech pathologist in a split position between acute care and the outpatient clinic.
We work as part of the continuum of care striving to get patients back to their premorbid functioning. Adult outpatient therapy consists of diagnostics and treatment of stroke, acquired brain injury, dysphagia, voice, MS, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, dementia and other medical complexities in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Our speech therapy team includes many experienced clinicians with specialties in a variety of areas which serve as great mentors. We offer a clinical ladder for advancement and company-supported professional development and CEU’s.
We are in need of 32 hours per week with the possibility of increasing to 40 by floating to assist nearby clinics or as caseload permits.
We are searching for candidates with at least 3 years of experience treating in acute care as well as treating adult cognitive-communication, dysphagia and voice disorders in an outpatient setting. Competency in performing Modified Barium Swallow studies is crucial. Experience with dysphagia and LSVT preferred.
