SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is looking for a Per Diem Materials Technician in Bridgeton, MO to join our team!

 

As the leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation services in the St. Louis area, SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital delivers the specialized care and advanced treatment that enables individuals with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, amputation, joint replacement and other orthopedic trauma, and general medical rehabilitation needs, to rebuild their lives.

 

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital's three inpatient rehabilitation units are located within acute care hospitals (SSM HealthSt. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, and SSM Health St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis) or operate as a stand-alone hospital (the 60-bed SSM Health Bridgeton Hospital in Bridgeton). This wide footprint in the greater St. Louis area provides patients with convenient, on-site access to very specialized medical care during their rehabilitative stay.

 

Provides support to the Materials Manager to ensure efficiency of service. Assists in purchasing and delivery of supplies, equipment and services upon receipt of properly executed paperwork.

 

Responsibilities

 

 

Specific Duties:

 

*Assists the Materials Manager in the departmental operations.

 

*Assists with coordinating the operation of storeroom functions to ensure the efficiency of service.

 

*Assures completion of daily requisitions on a timely basis, accurately processing all paperwork and delivers orders to requisitioning    departments.

 

*Maintains established goals and objectives in accordance with department policies and procedures.

 

*Receives all deliveries and inspects items for damage or defects. Verifies completeness and accuracy of all deliveries and alerts the departments (buyers) of any discrepancies.

 

*Stocks shelves in the storeroom, rotates stock and updates location reports.

 

*Monitors dated supplies on a weekly basis for expiration date.

 

*Advises Materials Manager regarding items that have become inactive and/or outdated.

 

*Performs cycle counts to assure that perpetual inventory agrees with physical inventory.

 

*Maintains updated Material Safety Data Sheet manual of items handled through and stocked in Stores.

 

*Keeps storeroom clean and clear of all debris. Breaks down all boxes for disposal.

 

*Keeps loading area clean and free of any debris generated by the Storeroom.

 

*Performs other duties as requested.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

Minimum Education & Experience (Including Licenses)

 

  1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Two years previous storeroom/shipping and receiving experience preferred.
