Baylor Rehabilitation in Plano is looking for a Therapy Tech to join our Acute Care team!

Seeking a motivated, self-directed professional who demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and growth. Must be adaptable in a fast-paced environment, communicate proactively, embrace feedback, and foster a positive patient and family experience through compassionate engagement and exceptional customer service.

This is a Monday-Friday position with need to flex work schedule to later in the day at times to assist with surgical volumes. Therapy aide experience in acute care or an acute inpatient rehab therapy setting preferred. 

The therapy aide will: 

• Works alongside therapist during all patient care activities inside the acute care hospital setting.
• Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.

• Interfaces with multiple members of the multiple disciplinary care team (PT, OT, Speech, Nursing, Physicians, Respiratory, Nutrition, etc.)

• Provides physical lift assistance for patient mobility as well as another set of hands for management of complex equipment/lines

• Assists the therapists in providing therapeutic interventions to medically complex patients with high acuity

• Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
• Assists therapist with other patient related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipment.
• Assist with patient related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice 

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a therapy tech or nursing technician
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
