Baylor Rehabilitation in Fort Worth is seeking a full-time therapy aide for our Day Neuro facility!
Seeking a rehab therapy aide to join a multi-disciplinary team of PTs, OTs, and SLPs providing care to a wide variety of patients. The successful candidate will participate in clinical care under the direction of licensed therapists in a fast moving rehab hospital setting. Duties will include providing physical assistance with therapy intervention, maintaining equipment within the department, and completing other administrative tasks. The rehab therapy aide may also provide transportation for patients in the company van. No CDL required. A driving record check will be performed. Related experience is preferred, though training will be provided to enthusiastic applicants seeking an opportunity in the rehab setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and eagerness to serve patients as an integral member of the therapy team. • Assist physical, occupational, and speech therapists with patient care tasks and therapeutic exercises.
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy sessions.
• Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy activities as directed by licensed therapists.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring proper sanitation and equipment storage.
• Observe patients during therapy and report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Support documentation by recording patient participation and progress as needed.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks, such as scheduling and stocking therapy supplies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and move patients and equipment as needed.
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and eager to support patient recovery.
