Compensation: $41.38 - $55.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Administers, directs and supervises the clinical care being provided by the nursing staff, which includes all Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, and Unit Secretaries. Serves as a resource and consultant for the clinical nursing care being rendered for the hospital. Provides and oversees nursing care, safety, and quality while maintaining hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives. Maintains approved standards of patient care, by collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Assists with disciplinary issues, staff mentoring and performance appraisals. Provides oversight for the hospital in collaboration with and in the absence of the CNO. Effectively communicates on multiple levels.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid state RN license required
  • Certified BLS before date of hire required
  • Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required
  • BSN or enrollment in BSN program required
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse; 3 or more years experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity is required

Preferred Experience

  • CRRN required after meeting eligibility requirements (2 years of Rehab nursing)
