Responsibilities

The application for the BSW Sports PT Residency program at The Star is open. The one-year residency, beginning in January, offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience and specialized training under the guidance for 5 Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialists, 2 phenomenal certified Athletic Trainers, and elite level performance coaches through our sports performance partner Elite Performance Training. The Resident collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to effectively manage youth through professional athletes. The Resident will cover local youth, high school, and community events around the DFW area to gain experience in on-field athlete management. The Resident also collaborates on a research project with BSW Health. The Resident is expected to take the SCS exam upon completion of the program.

 

 

As a Full Time Therapist at one of our Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, you will work with a team of clinicians. Together we will help our patients achieve outlined goals and milestones on their individual patient care plan. 

  • Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
  • Patient Case Load Average: 10-12 patients a day
  • Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
  • Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
  • Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement
  • Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations.
