SSM Health Rehabilitation Network encompasses five SSM-STL Acute Care hospitals throughout the metro St. Louis region (SSM Health— St. Mary’s, St. Joseph’s-St. Charles, DePaul, St. Clare and St. Joseph’s-Lake Saint Louis) and includes three SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospitals. Two of our inpatient rehabilitation units are located within acute care hospitals (SSM Health St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, and SSM Health St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis) and we have one a stand-alone hospital (the 60-bed SSM Health Bridgeton Hospital in Bridgeton). This wide footprint in the greater St. Louis area provides patients with convenient, on-site access to very specialized medical care during their rehabilitative stay.
Speech Therapy is compromised in a regional unit, requiring all SLPs to be competent and available to work across both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
