Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant-Hammond, IN

Location: 2320 173rd St Suite 143 Hammond, IN

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Two evenings until 7:00p.m.)

Compensation: starting at $26.00/hour-$30.00/hour

 

Join our RUSH outpatient orthopedic center and be part of a respected clinical team delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages and abilities. We focus on personalized treatments that restore function and help patients get back to the activities they love—whether it's sports, work, or everyday life.

This position is in high level sports at Purdue Northwest University, with the clinic located on campus and inside the athletic training room. This position will work alongside the PT to provide sports physical therapy to NCAA Division II athletes at the university, along with traditional outpatient orthopedics.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Outpatient clinical experience if a current student
  • Outpatient experience in the last 5 years if a practicing clinician
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Sports experience
