Overview

Administrative Support Specialist

Starting at $16.50 per hour 

ON-SITE 

 

 

The Administrative Support Specialist will provide support to the both the central business office and hospital staff by filling all records requests in regards to outstanding accounts receivables. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Inventory, review, follow-up, and respond to all medical records and itemized bill requests as required for payment.
  • Send out priority mail for the department and document the tracking information for our records.
  • Compile information for patient and insurance refund packets.
  • Communicate with facilities and/or patients regarding additional information needed for payment of claims.
  • Document in the Medhost system all verbal and written activities relative to that account.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of customer service experience – Retail/Hospitality/Banking/Healthcare

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of indemnity insurance practices, contracts and managed care ideal.
  • Computer Skills
  • Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work with multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Good interpersonal skills including: face-to-face, verbal, electronic, and telephonic.

  • Organized
  • Good time management skills in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team to reach a mutually established goals.

  • Previous experience in metrics based role, where production/quality standards are upheld.
