Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant
Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Lakeland, FL
Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday with three evenings required until 6:00 p.m.
Compensation: $27 to $32 per hour, based on experience
Incentives: $12,000 bonus and ongoing student debt repayment program

 

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient center in Lakeland, Florida. Our clinic is staffed by three therapists treating a diverse outpatient orthopedic caseload. Clinical specialties within the center include neuro rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, sports medicine, POETS, dry needling, and fall prevention. This role offers a supportive environment suitable for both newer clinicians seeking mentorship and seasoned therapists looking to continue their professional growth.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
