Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant
Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: 1400 S Orlando Ave, Suite 207, Winter Park, FL 32789
Schedule: Part Time. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 to 7 or Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Compensation: 28 to 30 per hour. Starting rate based on experience.

 

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant for our outpatient center in Winter Park. The clinic is staffed with two full time Physical Therapists and one part time Occupational Therapist. This location offers strong mentorship opportunities, including collaboration with an experienced clinician who is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist and serves as the center’s Student Coordinator. This role is well suited for newer therapists seeking guidance and professional development and experienced therapists.

 

Additional hours may be available. Candidates who are open to covering multiple centers in the area may have the opportunity to transition to full time.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
