The Department of Psychology at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Licensed Counselor (LPC or LCSW) to join our team of psychologists and counselors. This is a full-time, 32-hour per week position dedicated exclusively to our Day Neuro program in Fort Worth. The schedule for this position will be weekdays 8:00AM to 5:00PM with no weekend or evening hours.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or rehabilitation setting and enjoy providing individual, group, and family counseling. Our counseling staff are embedded within a collaborative team culture, and provide education to patients and families on the psychological aspects of recovery after brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, or other neurological conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individual, family, and group therapy
- Facilitating psychoeducational and functional groups
- Offering patient/family education on emotional adjustment and recovery
- Participating in co-treatments with other disciplines
- Involvement in team conferences and family conferences
- Collaborating closely with psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy
Our Day Neuro Program focuses on individuals with acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury, emphasizing return to work, school, community engagement, and driving.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
1. Master’s degree appropriate to position.
2. Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Flexibility and ability to integrate into a transdisciplinary team environment.
5. BLS certification required (may be obtained upon hire)
