The Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of the monthly financial close process for the U.S. Physiatry LLC division. They are responsible for managing accounting staff, internal control objectives, and routine accounting transactions to achieve high-quality financial reporting for the business. This position does require some travel to Texas.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Produces accurate and timely financials through detailed balance sheet and P&L analysis and monitoring of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manages internal and external audits and completes requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains internal controls in the department.
  • Supports operational finance and hospital management with timely and accurate information.
  • Promotes best practices and continuous improvement in departmental processes and procedures.
  • Ensures direct reports have received and continue to receive the necessary training and support to accomplish departmental objectives.
  • Ensures stability by building employee engagement, effective talent assessment, and succession planning.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles required
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and the Microsoft Office suite required
  • Experience with large scale financials systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP) required
  • CPA and/or related advanced degree preferred
  • Healthcare industry accounting experience preferred

U.S. Physiatry LLC was founded in 2011 by two physiatrists who were visionaries in Post-Acute care. They saw a future where physiatrists managed patients along the entire continuum. This included acute care, IRFs, LTACHs, skilled nursing, and multiple outpatient settings to provide a seamless rehabilitation patient experience.
