We’re seeking a detail‑oriented, people-focused Onboarding Specialist to coordinate a seamless and compliant onboarding experience for our new hires across the country.

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will guide candidates through the electronic onboarding process and ensure every new hire has a smooth, positive start. You’ll collaborate closely with multiple vendors and internal teams to coordinate drug screens, background checks, credential verification, uniform orders, E‑Verify and I‑9 completion, and more.


In this customer-centric role, you’ll answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all employment documents and personnel files are complete, accurate, and survey-ready.

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Drive the onboarding process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and full compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to candidate, manager, and internal team inquiries via phone and email.
  • Provide guidance on onboarding policies, paperwork requirements, background check standards, and process expectations.
  • Identify and resolve onboarding issues, researching discrepancies, clarifying policies, and escalating non-compliance concerns as necessary.
  • Serve as a key liaison between our organization and third-party vendors for background screenings, drug testing, and employment eligibility verification.
  • Monitor results, track progress, and coordinate communication throughout the onboarding cycle.

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations 

 

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and/or employment compliance
  • Experience coordinating new employee orientation and completing I‑9s
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and HR databases
