Responsibilities

The Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) is pleased to announce an opening for a full time psychometrist to work with our team of rehabilitation and neuropsychologists. We offer comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to young adults and adults receiving rehabilitation at post-acute centers in Dallas. This position involves working alongside the attending psychologist in administration and scoring of neuropsychological tests. Many of the patients served are recovering from traumatic brain injuries and stroke, but conditions also include encephalopathy, neuro-oncology and functional neurological symptom disorder. 

 

Job Duties may include:

 

    • Scheduling neuropsychological assessments with attention to available testing space and materials,
      as well as clinical priority as determined by the psychologist.
    • Conducting neuropsychological assessments with attention to confidentiality
    • Recording behavior observations in detail.
    • Maintaining inventory of neuropsychological measures.
    • Submitting billing information to psychologist and maintains accurate and timely records of all assessments.
    • Becoming competent in and provide training to other staff in the administration of new neuropsychological measures.
    • Perform other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Specialized training and experience in the areas of psychometrics and assessment procedures
  • Experience administering standard neuropsychology batteries preferred
  • Experience with patient and family interaction preferred
  • Certification or eligibility for certification in psychometry is preferred
