Overview

Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics PRN Per Diem

 

Location: NovaCare in Washington, DC

 

Schedule: PRN, weekdays (Mon-Fri)

 

Compensation: $50 - $55 /hour

 

NovaCare has three OP Ortho locations in Washington DC and we are seeking local PRN Physical Therapists to join our teams. This role is perfect for someone with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. 

 

We have additional clinicians on staff at each location, averaging 10-12 patients per day. Our specialty services include vestibular, concussion, oncology (ReVital), sports medicine, industrial, dry needling, and fall prevention on top of general ortho. You must have at least one year of treating OP ortho to be considered. 

 

Center Hours: Weekdays as early as 7A until 8P. The last patient is scheduled an hour before close.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
