Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapist

Location: 4047 13th Street, St. Cloud, FL 34769
Job Type: Part-Time (31 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Incentives: $10,000 bonus

Pay: $47.00 - $50.00 per hour
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with extensive experience may earn up to $52.00 per hour.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic clinic in St. Cloud, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with experienced hand surgeons and contribute to a growing national Hand Therapy program.

 

Minimum Requirement: At least 1 year of recent hand therapy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions, including post-operative fractures, tendon injuries, sprains, and strains
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
  • Provide splinting as needed
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
  • National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start. 
  • Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 1+ yr current hand therapy experience 
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license
