Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapist (PRN)
Location: 1499 6th Street NW, Winter Haven, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, PRN
Pay: $45–$47/hr (based on experience)

 

Join our outpatient orthopedic center as a PRN Hand Therapist. CHT preferred, but new grads with Level II fieldwork or OTs with 1+ year of hand therapy experience are encouraged to apply. Treat a variety of upper extremity conditions. Splinting experience a plus. Work alongside skilled hand surgeons and access mentorship for CHT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
  • National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start. 
  • Newly licensed OT graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy and Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year current hand therapy
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license
