Position: Nurse Manager - Critical Illness Recovery 
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: $133,500 - $145,000 / annually  (based on experience)

Responsibilities

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and working alongside nurses, you will direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population. 

  • Possesses a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development.  
  • Provides and oversees patient care. Implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives.
  • Provides leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment.
  • Maintains approved standards of patient care, collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Communicates clinical issues, as they relate to service or program development, to the CNO.
  • Promotes clinical development, competency and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes.  
  • Evaluates performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel.  Cooperated in interviewing prospective staff.
  • Assures that all staff are accountable for documenting care provided, patient family teaching and discharge planning on patients to which they are assigned. 
  • Contributes to the smooth functioning of the unit by providing direction to staff, other departments, and families as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Valid State RN License
  • At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership
  • 1 year of previous management experience 
  • BLS required upon hire
  • ACLS certification within first 6 months of hire

Preferred Experience

  • BSN preferred 
  • CCRN preferred
