Starting pay rate: $18/hr

BSWIR in Plano is seeking full-time rehab aide to work with oncology and lymphedema team to manage patient waitlists, assist clinicians with bandaging/wrapping of patients, ordering supplies, administrative tasks related to treatment, etc. Ideal candidate is proactive, a team player and communicates well. 

Job duties would include cleaning, laundry, patient scheduling, supply ordering and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to multitask, and possess strong organizational skills. This position would work closely with physical therapists as well as our patient service specialist team to provide exceptional and efficient patient care.

1. Performs patient related tasks assigned by therapist
2. Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department.
3. Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces.
4. Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department.
5. Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment.
6. Transports patients to/from therapy as needed.
7. Assists therapist with other patient related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipment.
8. Assist with patient related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice 

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred.
• BLS Certification or completion within 90 days of hire
