Position: Physical Therapist Assistant 

Location: 6565 W. Main Street, Kalamazoo, MI  49009

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-6pm mix

Compensation: Depending on experience

Incentives:  Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus!

 

Our NovaCare Rehabilitation outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Outpatient physical therapy office with focus on clinical excellence and staff training to achieve the best
patient outcomes. Caseload is primarily non-surgical orthopaedics including specialty areas of spine care,
TMD/upper cervical treatment, lower quarter biomechanics, high school and collegiate athletes, pain management
and dizziness/concussion/vestibular disorders. Opportunity to work alongside two fellowship-trained orthopaedic
manual physical therapists who serve as instructors and fellowship mentors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
