Materials Technician

 

Full Time

 

Shift Hours:

Monday - Friday

9am-6pm

 

Baylor Rehabilitation in Frisco is looking for a candidate to fill our full-time materials tech opening!

 

As a Materials Technician, you will be  responsible assisting the Materials Manager with stocking needed daily supplies, and processing daily deliveries.  Other duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting daily charge data, entering and logging all charges for each department, ordering supplies; ordering and returning of rental equipment, submission of invoices, moving equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receives all deliveries and inspects items for damage or defects. Verifies completeness and accuracy of all deliveries and alerts the departments (buyers) of any discrepancies.
  • Keeps storeroom clean and clear of all debris. Breaks down all boxes for disposal.
  • Advises Materials Manager regarding items that have become inactive and/or outdated.
  • Performs cycle counts to assure that perpetual inventory agrees with physical inventory.
  • Maintains updated Material Safety Data Sheet manual of items handled through and stocked in Stores.
  • Stocks shelves in the storeroom, rotates stock and updates location reports.
  • Monitors dated supplies on a weekly basis for expiration date.
  • Maintains established goals and objectives in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Keeps loading area clean and free of any debris generated by the Storeroom.
  • Based on the Competency Program established for indirect care providers, possesses the skills and competencies necessary to perform job function in accordance with population served criteria.
  •  Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and 10 key is required
  • Assures completion of daily requisitions on a timely basis, accurately processing all paperwork and delivers orders to requisitioning departments.
  • Assists with coordinating the operation of storeroom functions to ensure the efficiency of service and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years previous storeroom/shipping and receiving experience preferred.
