As a Secondary to Medicare Account Representative, you will play a key role in optimizing billing and collections performance.  You will manage overdue balances, investigate claim issues, and work closely with patients and insurance companies to ensure timely payments.  Your contributions will directly impact the success of our Central Business Office and the achievement of our annual business goals

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage open secondary claim balances where Medicare is the primary or secondary payer.
  • Investigate claims overdue by 60 days or more; document all verbal and written communications.
  • Conduct outbound calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and address inquiries from patients, field offices, and centers.
  • Identify billing errors and payer issues; escalate concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-ups for account resolution.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
  • Basic to advance computer skills are required.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines is preferred
  • One to two years of experience in an office environment is preferred.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
