Overview

Banner Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North and American Leadership Academy - Queen Creek. Athletic Trainer will be floating between ALA Gilbert North and ALA - Queen Creek up to 40 hours per week. All hours will be dedicated to the school with no additional clinic hours required.

Location: Gilbert, AZ

Type of Employment: Full-time
Schedule: Weekdays/Weekends, Typical High School ATC hours

Compensation: Starting at $55,000/Yr, commensurate with experience

Incentives: $3,500 Sign-on Bonus, $1,500 retention bonus paid out at end of school year. 

Additional Details: PRN/Per Diem AT Coverage for contracted events will occur occasionally for additional compensation starting at $35.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
  • Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
  • Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
  • Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
  • Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
  • CPR certification
  • Applicable state license where required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
