Cognitive Therapist (LPC, CRC, OT, SLP, Behavioral Analyst)
This is a great opportunity for an LPC, CRC, behavioral analyst, OT or Speech Therapist to provide counseling and cognitive, functional therapy to support the recovery of patients who have suffered from a Brain Injury or Spinal Cord Injury in our unique setting.
This position is located at our beautiful facility, located next to our Downtown Dallas Rehabilitation hospital on the BUMC campus. Our Neuro Transitional Rehab is for patients that need additional intense rehabilitation before they go home. Our inpatient post hospital facility was designed to be able to provide the individualized attention needed, and practice skills learned and compensatory strategies in a home and community environment.

Employees in this position will:
1. Schedule psychological assessments with attention to available testing space and materials, as well as clinical priority as determined by the psychologist.
2. Conduct and score psychological tests and assessments with attention to confidentiality.
3. Record behavior observations in detail.
4. Inform supervising psychologist regarding patient status.
5. Obtain detailed psychosocial histories.
6. Conduct psychotherapy and cognitive remediation therapy as directed by supervising psychologist.
7. Maintain liaison with colleagues in other disciplines.
8. Attend departmental and team meetings and in-services.
9. Complete all reports, notes, forms, etc. in a timely manner.
10. Maintain appropriate licensure/certification.
11. Keep abreast of research and development in the field.
12. Maintain a therapeutic degree of rapport with the patients and their families.
