Responsibilities

The Director of Credentialing provides leadership, management and operational oversight for Select Medical’s hospital credentialing program.   The Director collaborates with other departments, leaders and organizations to facilitate operational objectives and serves as a key stakeholder in the development, execution and maintenance of the inpatient credentialing database.  This position supports efforts to ensure high quality practitioners by overseeing the investigation and verification of credentials of applicants to hospitals’ medical staff and allied health staff.    The Director supports consistent and compliant credentialing processes and proactively audits credentialing data and practices, identifies system and process issues, coordinates resolution and implements best practices.  The Director is knowledgeable about state and federal regulatory requirements for hospital credentialing and ensures interpretation and compliance with those standards.   

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare field required.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience in credentialing, credentials verifications, medical staff services or a related healthcare field required.

 

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
