Physical Therapist - Inpatient

 

PRN

 

Hours vary: Monday - Friday availability

Must be available for two weekend day shifts a month

 

  PRN Rate: $60 /hr

 

 

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional and patient-centered treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community, vocational or academic activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery. No new grads.
 
Specific Duties:

  •  Evaluate the patient's level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals.
  • Participates in discharge planning including, patient and family education, and recommendation of DME, community mobility as able.
  • IPR- Inpatient rehabilitation Hospital- minimum of 2 weekend days per month are required/ 24 shifts per year minimum.

Preferred Skills:

  • Acute or IPR experience preferred
  • Previous experience with the adult Neuro population

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required..
