Respiratory Therapy Supervisor (RRT)

 

Shift Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

 

Using discretion and independent judgement, assumes responsibility for overall functions and professional growth of the Department, contributes to development of site - specific therapist driven protocols, provides consultation with regard to pulmonary disorders and Respiratory Therapy practice, and provides quality respiratory care while esnuring the development and routine monitoring of the Respiratory Therapy Department. This position also provides discipline specific education to patients, families, and staff as required, and works collaboratively with the Chief Nursing Officer to esnure that all departmental standards are met while following appropriate standards of practice to ensure regulatory compliance. Performs other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Care Program Required.
  • BLS certiciation required.
  • Current state Licensure required.
  • ACLS required upon hire.

 

Preferred Experience

  • One year supervisory experience within the last three years is preferred.
  • Three years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an Acute Care setting preferred
  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
