Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: HealthWorks in Morgantown, WV

Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours/ Week

Our outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities.We treat a diverse OP ortho population which includes sports medicine, pelvic health, vestibular, concussion, industrial and more! Previous experience is a PLUS, we are able to support new graduate PTAs from accredited programs.

 

Schedule: Full time, 40 hour work week to include two days treating until 7PM. We have a short schedule on Fridays and two schedule options available.

 

Minimum Qualification: Associates degree from accredited school for physical therapist assistants. You must have your West Virginia PTA license to begin. We are able to interview clinicians in process of receiving WV PTA license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
