Position: Physical Therapist Assistant 

Location: Watertown, CT

Schedule: Monday through Friday

PRN and part-time are also available

Compensation: hourly rate starting at $25/hr based on experience

 

Our Select Physical Therapy outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Watertown Select Physical Therapy is a growing sports medicine focused center with an active engaged patient population. In addition, the Watertown location has a specialized total joint rehabilitation program and has a high case load of post operative patients. The clinic has an open floor plan with state of the art equipment including various Pilates machines. The center manager in the facility is an experienced clinic who enjoys mentorship and clinical discussion to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
