Overview

Position: Float Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Float 

Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours weekly
Compensation: $30-$40 annually depending on years of experience

Responsibilities

The Regional Support Position is a clinical float position which affords the selected staff member to report directly to the local Regional Director, will be part of the regional center manager team and will have a defined number of centers.  The RSPT position will include a separate salary scale specific to the position and additional job duties and responsibilities.

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
  • Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care.
  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

·       Will have defined number of centers to support within a geographic region for continuity of care

Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy Assistant License 
  • Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred
