Compensation: $85,000-$105,000 annually, based on years of experience

Rush Physical Therapy in Chicago, IL has a unique opportunity for a pelvic health therapist who is interested in working side by side with the Gender Affirming Team at Rush Hospital.

 

This  Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, who will work alongside the Rush Hospital surgeons and clinical team with whom are providing surgical Gender-Affirming procedures.  The role of the pelvic health physical therapist within the office will be to provide pre-operative consultations, pre-operative patient education, peri-operative therapy, acute post-operative care and support the individual through their recovery. The role will require collaboration with the gender affirm team, and with other physical therapists in the area as well as across the country.  This is a full time position.  Time will be split carrying a caseload of pelvic health patients in the Gender Affirming clinic as well as a caseload in one of our Rush Physical Therapy Outpatient Clinics within the Chicagoland area.  Mentoring for this role will be provided. A good fit for this position is someone with a high level of confidence, is skilled with and passionate about patient education and collaborates well with other health professionals including physical therapists.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain all corporate and clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations
  • Evaluate, treat, direct, and document treatment for patients
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, family members and third-party payors
  • Attend/participate in center meetings as directed by the center manager

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school 
  • Current State physical therapist license or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice
  • CPR certification
