Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: NovaCare Silver Spring Maryland

Schedule: Full Time 40 hours 

Compensation: starting at $27.00/Hr.

Our NovaCare Silver Spring Maryland is an outpatient orthopedic center seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities.Our clinical team averages 12 patients per day treating everyone from teens through geriatrics. Our specialty services include; neurology, sports medicine, pediatrics, fall prevention and an ACL Program on top of general orthopedics. We WELCOME clinicians of all experience levels, previous OP ortho experience is a PLUS. We can also support new graduate physical therapist assistants with onsite mentorship.

Schedule: Weekdays MWF 7-4pm and Tu/Th 1030a-7pm

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
