Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA

Location: NovaCare Centralia IL

Schedule: Weekdays, Day Hours, Per Diem / PRN 

Compensation: $25.00-32.00 per hour

 

Our NovaCare Centralia IL outpatient center is seeking a licensed COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) to provide quality patient care. This is a per diem or PRN schedule with no set hours. We are seeking as needed coverage weekdays.

 

We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. We are OP ortho and open to consider new graduate COTAs. We treat a diverse caseload of general ortho, neuro, sports, industrial and hand therapy conditions.

 

Schedule is on an as-needed basis for coverage during our weekday hours of operation (8A-5P).

Responsibilities

  • Detail-Oriented: Observe, note and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
  • Education: Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks and how to break down activities into achievable components.
  • High Standard of Care: Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures and applicable regulations and corporate policies
  • Personalized Treatment: Under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist, optimize patients’ functional abilities and skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
  • State COTA license (or license eligible)
  • CPR certification
  • Valid state driver’s license
