Pharmacy hours M-F 8:30am-5pm

*No weekends*

 

Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

 Starting salary: $17.25 - $27 per hour 

 

Looking for a prn Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. Our hospital is located in Lakeway Texas in the scenic hill country on the southern shores of Lake Travis. Lakeway is a resort community about 25 miles west of downtown Austin. The city offers an outdoor lifestyle with a 65 mile long lake, golf courses, tennis courts, marinas, a private airport, 100 acres of parkland hiking and biking trails, and nearly 500 acres of greenbelts.

Responsibilities

Employees in this position will:


1. Prepares IV piggyback medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
2. Orders, unpacks and stores supplies, verifies items received against invoices and stores
perishables in refrigerators.
3. Delivers supplies and medications to various departments as needed.
4. Fills floor stock requests.
5. Produces labels via computer for requested medications.
6. Compiles outdated medications through monthly inspection of Pharmacy, and returns to
appropriate vendor.
7. Performs Quality Improvement activities as directed.
8. Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related
credentials)


1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. One to two year’s experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
3. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.

4. Must be licensed with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
5. ACPE accredited IV Sterile Compounding Certification required.
6. Current Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
