 This opportunity is a full-time position with BSW rehab and your salary will be commiserate with years of licensed or BOC experience

starting at $56,326.40 for 0 years of experience.

 

BSW Rehab is looking for a self-motivated Athletic Trainer to provide care at outreach sporting events as well as mentor/teacher our sports physical therapy resident. We are looking for someone who is strong communicator with a high level of customer service and documentation skills who has an interest in teaching. Employee will have the ability to make their own schedule based on available events.

Responsibilities

BSW Rehab is looking for a self-motivated Athletic Trainer to work local event coverage 40 hours a week in DFW. Job duties include:

 

  • Based out of Frisco at the ST&R Clinic
    • Majority event coverage (30 hours minimum a week) anything over 40 hours a week of event coverage is paid extra for at the $30/hr rate. Event coverage could be anywhere in DFW depending on the needs of the resident to match their curriculum
    • Must work middle school football in the fall every Monday and Tuesday at the school of your choosing.
    o Priority on big events such as
     USA Gymnastics
     MLB Girls Baseball
     Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
     Dallas Cup Soccer Tournament
     Dallas Marathon
     Dallas Mavericks Refs Treatments
     Professional Pickleball
    o Any new big event requests in the future
    • Mentoring the resident on the field and in the clinic discussing patients seen and how it translates from acute care to clinic care
    • Giving the resident quizzes and tests (already built in to the curriculum)
    • Working with PT mentors to ensure a fully balanced residency in accordance with APTA standards
    • No clinic patient care at this time as an AT.

 

Qualifications

  • BOC certification - preferred, minimum 5 years.
  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR required 
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer State of Texas (required)
