Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: 1915 S Dean Road Suite 170 Orlando, FL 32825

Schedule: Part Time Mon - Fri up to 24 hrs/week

Compensation: Starting at $45/hr. Starting salary calculated by experience.

Select Physical therapy is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist at our new Alafaya area center to treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. We are seeking a hand therapist who is skilled in custom splinting and has a minimum of 1 yr experience providing hand therapy. The Occupational Therapist will be working with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure you have what you need for success. Great opportunities for mentorship and professional growth! Center is offering up to 24 hours/week with potential to increase hours as caseload grows and/or opportunity to cover other centers as needed.

Our locations are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post surgical, non-operative to work conditioning. You will have the opportunity to work closely with excellent hand surgeons. • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

• Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required
• Experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required
• Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 1+ yr recent hand therapy experience. 
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Valid driver’s license
