Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Hand Therapy

 

Calling local certified occupational therapy assistants (COTA) looking for part diem hours! Check out Select Physical Therapy in Orange City, FL! Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants with one year of experience in hands therapy with desire to grow, APPLY. Mentorship available with experienced OT. Be willing to work between primary facility and one other facility w/in 30 miles. Great potential to develop into full time position.

 

COTA will treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains-strains, post- operative fractures, etc. Our population is primarily orthopedic injuries with referrals from hand and orthopedic surgeons. Let's foster your growth.

 

Hours Needed: Part Time Mon - Fri

Compensation: Starting at $25+/hr. Hourly rate calculated by experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
  • Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
  • Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
  • Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
  • National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
  • Must have one year previous experience working with hand therapy patients
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Valid state driver’s license
