Overview

Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient PRN

Location: NovaCare Leonardtown Maryland

Schedule: PRN as needed weekdays (Mon-Fri)

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 /hour

 

NovaCare Leonardtown is seeking licensed PRN Physical Therapist Assistants to join our outpatient orthopedic team. This role is perfect for a licensed PTA with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. 

 

An ideal PTA has previous OP ortho experience but we are open to consider new graduates or those soon sitting for their licensure exam. We are seeking  dependable, experienced, and flexible licensed PTAs who are able to treat, as needed, for caseload increase, vacation, and leave coverage. 

 

Our center is open as early as 7am closing at 630pm. We treat a diverse caseload of teens through geriatrics offering general ortho, sports medicine, aquatics, neurology, amputees, oncology, and industrial rehabilitative services on the 45 minute treat schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
