Select Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant in New Haven, CT

 

Our outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Both new grads and experienced PTA’s encouraged to apply but prefer a PTA with at least year or so of experience.  Possible expansion to a Full time position may present in the future. The Select P.T. New Haven office is located in a busy active multi-therapist outpatient office located inside fitness center in East Rock section of town surrounded by lots of retail/restaurants in the surroundings plazas.  This is a great opportunity to work with an active and functionally orientated orthopedic population and collaborate with experienced clinicians for mentorship and clinical collaboration.

Schedule:  Monday through Friday as needed

Compensation:  Hourly rate starting at $29/hr (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
  • State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
