Shift Hours: 9am-3pm or 12pm-6pm (Weekdays)

10am-4pm (weekends) 

 

PRN Pay Rate: $23.00/hr.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician completes a variety of department tasks and services and is responsible for the daily operations of the Pharmacy under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy or the pharmacist on duty during the shift. 

 
  • Assists in the operation of the facility pharmacy.
  • Maintains proper medication and supply inventory/records.
  • Orders supplies and medications to maintain proper stock levels - placing orders for anticipated medication needs.
  • Checks goods received against purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions.
  • Process daily orders ensuring accuracy through invoice verification.
  • Organizes labels and stores pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Reviews and processes pharmacy/dispensing cabinet stock for expired medications.
  • Picks up and delivers medications.
  • Cleans equipment, shelves, and work areas.
  • Operates MILT software for unit dose labeling.
  • Maintains records of unit dosed medications.
  • Prepares unit dose cassettes for review by pharmacist.
  • Fills patient medication drawers with prescribed doses.
  • Prepare IV kits for administration.

Qualifications

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related credentials)

  1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician required.
