Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant 

Setting: Outpatient orthopedics, sports, neuro, and vestibular

Location: Select Physical Therapy - Tampa FL (Fowler location)

Schedule: Full time 40 hours with 2-3 nights treating until 7P

Compensation: starting at $25/hr. commensurate with experience

Bonus: up to $5,000 for full time licensed PTA

 

 

Our SELECT PHYSICAL THERAPY outpatient orthopedic center in Tampa FL is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. This is a full time 40 hour work week for a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA). We have a multidisciplinary team at our Tampa (Fowler location) and able to support a new graduate physical therapist. Onsite mentorship available. We average 10-12 patients per day. treating general ortho, neuro, vestibular, and sports medicine with an ACL and fall prevention program. We are open as early as 7A until 7P (Friday 5P). Your schedule will include 2-3 days treating until 7PM with last patient scheduled an hour prior.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
