Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency
Advancing physical therapy professionals through practical learning experiences. Our program emphasizes instructive and patient-centered care, evidence-based practices and advanced clinical reasoning skills to promote excellence in women’s health care.

 

Enhance yourself and your career with a 13-month residency focusing on:

Practicing advanced-level practice skills

Gaining a diverse patient experience in the field of women’s health

Developing higher level clinical reasoning in all areas of the specialty practice for women’s health and certification in lymphedema.

Completing four, 3-credit-hour courses from Texas Woman’s University’s doctoral program

 

 

Responsibilities

Join the Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation/Texas Woman’s University Residency in Women’s Health, a 13-month journey that commences annually in June. This immersive program aims to enhance your skills, qualify you for the American Board of Physical Therapist Specialties (ABPTS) Women’s Health Clinical Specialist Board Certification exam and advanced professional activities. Be part of a transformative experience by applying early October for the upcoming program.

Qualifications


Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in Texas

Excellent communication skills

Physical ability to perform examination and treatment procedures

Psychological and social stability required for successful completion of the program

Evidence of commitment to a career in women’s health

Strong skills in scientific inquiry and writing

The application opens October 1st of each calendar year
