Responsibilities

The Research Coordinator will report to the Director of Research and will provide support to research across Select Medical’s specialty hospital division.

  • Provide operational support for research activities across the specialty hospital division.       
  • Support appropriate processes to encourage research and academic productivity while protecting the hospitals and their patients by maintaining compliance with privacy, patient rights, and other applicable regulations.         
  • Provide guidance in relation to research activities, including abstract submissions and research protocols.
  • Oversee the preparation of study materials including protocols, informed consent forms, case report forms, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining research policies and procedures for Select Medical and its hospitals and outpatient clinics.
  • Assist specialty hospital division's investigators or potential investigators meet Select Medical’s research strategy.
  • Supports research activities with external stakeholders, foundations and academic institutions, as appropriate.                                           
  • Ensure Select Medical’s research activities are compliant with applicable federal guidelines, Institutional Review Boards and other regulatory requirements.    
  • Support the operations of the Select Medical Specialty Hospital Division’s Capstone Committee.               
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on research protocols and processes

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. Life sciences, social sciences, or related disciplines).
  • 1-3 years of experience of involvement in clinical research projects in an appropriate type setting.
  • Technical experience and data management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, library skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IRB processes preferred
