PRN / Physical Therapist

 

The ideal candidate for this position would be an experienced inpatient Physical Therapist that would preferably be Tier II and willing to pick up weekday shifts.

 

  • Tier I - $45 (plus weekend differential) - 1 shift per month (onem ust be weekend shift) - 1 holiday/weekend prior or after (managers discretion)

 

  • Tier II - $50 (plus weekend differential) - 3 shifts per month (at least 2 must be weekend shifts) - One summer and one winter holiday/weekend prior or after (managers discretion)

 

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is a two-time winner of the Premier Award for Quality. Centrally located in metro St. Louis, we provide exceptional care to all our patients and are a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center. We specialize in high-risk pregnancy care and fetal surgery. Plus, our chest pain center, certified stroke center, and imaging and outpatient services ensure you’re well taken care of in any situation.

 

Working PRN for SSM Health Rehabilitation means that you can pick up hours at any of our Acute Therapy locations in Bridgeton, Fenton, Lake St. Louis, Richmond Heights and St. Charles as well as any of our 3 Inpatient hospitals in Bridgeton, Lake St. Louis and Richmond Heights.

This is an excellent opportunity to be considered for Full Time Physical Therapy positions when they come available throughout the year.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
  • Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
  • Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. 
  • Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. 
  • Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
