Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Population: Inpatient Swing Bed and Outpatient

Location: Salem, IL

Schedule: PRN, as needed, per diem

NovaCare in SALEM IL is seeking licensed, local PRN physical therapist assistants (PTA) to help on an as-needed basis. We are within Salem Township Hospital with additional clinicians on staff. An ideal physical therapist assistant (LPTA) has previous experience. We are OK to consider new graduates.

We are within Salem Township Hospital with both inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient populations. We have two orthopedic surgeons, one pain management doctor and multiple primary care physicians and other specialist referring to our therapy department. Our flexible scheduling for as needed coverage lets you craft a schedule that's suited to your unique lifestyle!

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
