$16-$20/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

Entry level position responsible for scheduling patients for therapy throughout an assigned region. A Centralized Scheduler candidate has excellent organizational skills, as well as strong analytical skills, including troubleshooting and problem solving. We're looking for someone with strong customer service and interpersonal skills as well as strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and process improvement.

 

  • Schedule procedures accurately.
  • Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members about the time of visit, visit expectations, facility directions and web address to access New Patient paperwork.
  • Obtain accurate patient clinical history as necessary for the exam. 
  • Provide instructions and specific preparations to the individual who is scheduling the procedure.
  • Review and evaluate scheduled appointments for completeness. 
  • Work with team to ensure office is working efficiently and that all calls to potential patients and referral sources are made in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the pre-registration process by obtaining demographic information and insurance information.
  • Receive Physician orders and schedule procedures by both telephone and electronic media. 
  • Obtain provisional diagnosis, Physician orders and patient history to substantiate the requested treatment.
  • Communicate scheduling concerns to the Center Manager or market leader.
  • Communicate scheduled appointments with team members and scan all supporting documentation.
  • Place calls to patients for Prehab scheduling for pre-surgical appointments.
  • Work closely with the marketing department for additional opportunities to develop referral sources and report barriers that prevent us from receiving referrals. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations in delivering superior levels of service.
  • Written and oral communication skills at multiple levels.
  • Professional telephone skills.
  • Strong computer and technological skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while on phone.
  • Team player/helpful.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Industry specific customer service certification.
  • Familiarity with rehab therapy treatment and medical terminology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Services and product lines.
