Overview

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (CHT)

Location: San Antonio, TX

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Compensation: Salaried, commensurate with experience

Incentives: $20,000 bonus and student debt benefit program

 

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, to treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more.  We are seeking a hand therapist who is skilled in custom splinting. The Certified Hand Therapist or Hand Therapist will be working with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure you have what you need for success. 

 

If not a current CHT, we would like this Hand Therapist to be exam-ready within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
  • High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
  • Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
  • Relationship-Building: Maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
  • CPR certified
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
  • Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
