Overview

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Pediatrics

Location: Saco, ME

Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri (M/W 10-7, T/R 9-6 and F 10-4)

Compensation: Starting at $25.00/hr and up! (pending experience)

Incentive: Sign-on bonus 

 

Our Saco Bay Kids outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a full-time licensed physical therapist assistant to provide patient care to our pediatric patients. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We utilize a variety of evidence-based treatments and manual therapy techniques to create individualized treatment plans focused on helping each patient achieve their specific goals and get back to the things that are important to them.

This is a large multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic with 5 PTs, 7 OTRs and 4 SLPs. Pediatric experince is preferred, but new grads with pediatric clinicals are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.
  • Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
  • Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.
  • Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
